K-pop idol Ryeowook of iconic group Super Junior will step down as a regular member on KBS' weekend singing competition program.

A PR rep with SM Entertainment told the magazine in an interview Tuesday that Ryeowook staged his final performance for KBS' "Immortal Song 2" on July 16, while the episode "Lee Jang-hee Special" will air on August 25.

"Ryeowook will focus on his singing activities with the group since they recently released their new song 'SPY' from their repackaged version of their sixth album 'Sexy, Free & Single,'" the rep explained.

Since making his first appearance on the show in May, Ryeowook has won on two of the episodes.

Ryeowook, who debuted as a member of a boy band Super Junior in 2008, became well known with his group's hit songs “Sorry Sorry” and “BONAMANA.”

Also, he has been active as a member of Super Junior’s two sub-units: Super Junior K.R.Y., the ballad group, and Super Junior-M, which was formed to target their Chinese fans.

He proved his vocal skills by participating in a number of soundtracks of TV series and playing in the musical "Temptation of Wolves."
