Top boy group BEAST claimed their first win on KBS’ Friday music show, edging out solo artist PSY’'s “Gangnam Style.”
After shoving off Super Junior's "Sexy, Free & Single" from the top spot, BEAST was crowned the winners on "Music Bank" with their latest electronic tune "Beautiful Night" on Friday,
“I thank our parents, everyone at Cube Entertainment and our BEAUTIES [the official name of BEAST's fan club],” BEAST’s Lee Gi-kwang said during their acceptance speech.
Last Friday’s show also featured performances by Teen Top, ZE:A, Choshinsung, Haha&Skull, SISTAR, Super Junior and BoA.
With their fifth mini-album “Midnight Sun” released on July 22, it marks the return of the “Fiction” singers to the local music scene in a year and two months.
The six-member group also saw two consecutive wins on Mnet’s music program “M! Countdown” for "Beautiful Night."
