K-pop group T-ara's leader Soyeon has confirmed that she will join the ensemble cast of Cho Yeo-jung, Kim Kang-woo and Jung Suk-won in the follow-up to SBS' Monday and Tuesday primetime TV seires, "Big."

Soyeon, who is gearing to return to the music scene with T-ara's new album next month, has been earmarked to play the younger sister of Cho Yeo-jung's character in ""Lovers of Haeundae" (tentative title).


Starting August 13, the idol star will portray the perky character named Lee Kwan-soon, according to her agency, Core Contents Media's press release on Tuesday.

Expressing her eager to do well in the show, she said in the statement that she is taking acting advice from Eunjung, Hyomin and Jiyeon, who already have acting experiences in the small screen.


Before she makes her debut as an actress on TV, Soyeon and other members of T-ara will be rolling out their new album "Day by Day" on July 3.


In the meantime, the "Lovey-Dovey" singers are on the last run of their Japan tour and is scheduled to hold their first-ever exclusive Seoul concert at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on August 11, the officials said.
