Super Junior member Sungmin and FTIsland's guitarist and vocalist Song Seung-hyun have been cast in the popular musical, "Jack the Ripper."
On Thursday, according to a press release by their respective agencies, Sungmin and Song will rotate the role of the young doctor named Daniel in "Jack the Ripper," which will raise its curtains at National Theater of Korea in Seoul on July 20.
The two singers will also share the role of Daniel with actors Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ki-joon, while the other cast includes Yu Joon-sang, Shin Sung-woo, Seo Ji-young and J-Min.
Meanwhile, the production is also scheduled to make its way to the audience in Japan at Tokyo's Aoyama Theater from September to October.
In the story based on an actual criminal case in London during the late 19th century, Daniel goes to London in search of samples of dead bodies needed for his medical research only to fall in love with one of the prostitutes there named Gloria.
The mystery and romance musical will be on its third run this summer after it kicked off its premiere in 2009.

The show is also known as the first musical from Europe that has been reconstructed by a local production team.
