Korean female idol IU took over televised weekend music programs during the third week of December.
IU scored her second consecutive win on KBS' Friday show "Music Bank" and claimed her first Mutizen award on SBS' "Inkigayo" with her song "YOU&I" from her second album "Last Fantasy."
"I want to thank everyone. All my fans who came out to show their support and especially my parents and my brother," IU said in her acceptance speech. She went onto express her thanks to everyone at her agency as well as her fellow "Inkigayo" emcees KARA's Gu Hara and Nicole.
IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, claimed the top spot on all online music charts with her title track "You&I" upon its release on November 29.
She is also gearing up to make her official debut into the music in Japan under major record label EMI Music Japan.
