K-pop idol Taeyceon of boy band 2PM will make his small screen debut in Japan, starring in an upcoming Japanese drama alongside actress Kim Tae-hee.
On Thursday, JYP Entertainment announced in a press release that Taecyeon will take on the role of Tae-sung in Fuji TV's "僕とスタ?の99日" (translated into '99 Days with a Star') which will air every Sunday night starting October 23.
The drama will tell the story of a top Korean actress named Han Yuna (Kim) who signs a contract to be in a relationship with a bodyguard (Japanese actor Hidetoshi Nishijima) in order to work in Japan while Tae-sung holds a deep dark secret and shares a mysterious relationship with Han.
Making his debut in 2008 as one of the rappers of six-member boy band 2PM, Taecyeon made his acting debut with a role in hit KBS2 TV series "Sister of Cinderella" and KBS' music drama "Dream High."
As a group, 2PM is currently on their concert tour throughout Asia where they will hold shows in Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Beijing and Japan.
