Korean idol group Big Bang’s latest DVD has topped Taiwan’s prestigious music chart during the first week of the month.
During the period of April 1 to 7, Big Bang’s latest DVD “BIG SHOW 2010” which contains the group’s live concert held early last year, placed No. 1 on the audio/video chart of Taiwan’s G-Music chart upon its release on the first day of April.
"BIG SHOW" is the name of Big Bang’s concert taking place once every year since 2009. They attracted over 40,000 fans to their show this year.
Big Bang’s unit albums scored well on the same chart as well, seeing its G-Dragon and T.O.P duo unit DVD “PLAY WITH GD & T.O.P” at No. 2, and member Taeyang’s “2010 SOLAR Concert” in Korean and Japanese versions on No. 6 and No. 9, respectively.
Big Bang, composed of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri, Taeyang and Daesung, was discovered and trained by major talenthouse YG Entertainment and after leading a successful career in Korea, they crossed over to the Japanese music market in 2009 where they again garnered much popularity.
They made a comeback to the local music scene with their fourth mini-album in late February which topped various online and offline charts and released a special edition album containing double title tracks "STUPID LIAR" and "LOVE SONG" last Friday.

The group recently renewed their contract with major talent agency YG Entertainment for another five years.
