KBS daily drama “Smile Again” continued to remain atop weekly TV charts for the second consecutive week, according to the findings by two media research firms on Monday.
“Smile Again” posted an average viewership rating of 34.6 percent and 33.5 percent on surveys by Total National Multimedia Research (TNmS) and AGB Nielsen Media Research (AGB), respectively, bouncing back to its usual rating of around 30 percent.
Last week’s episodes showed Kim Do-jin (Lee Jang-woo) finding out that he shares the same father with Dong-hae (Ji Chang-wook) after eavesdropping on a phone conversation between his mother Hong Hae-sook (Jeong Ae-ri) and his wife Yoon Sae-wa (Park Jung-a). Kim Joon, (Kang Suk-woo) the father, chooses to leave the house after much conflict with his wife.
KBS weekend series “My Love My Family” starring Song Jae-ho and Sunwoo Yong-nyeo, about the life and love of four couples and their old parents, yielded an average viewership rating of 22.4 percent, taking second place on the weekly TNmS chart.
The nation’s most-watched variety show “Happy Sunday” appeared third on TNmS' poll with a viewership rating of 22 percent.
In contrast, AGB placed “Happy Sunday” on the No.2 spot with a viewership rating of 23.8 percent and “My Love, May Family” at third with an average rating of 23.3 percent.
Other TV programs that recorded high scores last week were “KBS 9 o’clock News,” comedy “Gag Concert,” three dramas: SBS’ “Sign,” KBS’ “Dream High,” and MBC drama “Flames of Desire,” and variety shows “World Changing Quiz,” “Golden Fishery” and “Infinite Challenge.”
