MBC drama "The Greatest Love" [MBC]
MBC’s romantic series “The Greatest Love,” continued its reign over the Wednesdays and Thursdays’ primetime chart for third week in-a-row, according to the findings by two media research companies on Friday. “The Greatest Love” took the top place on TV charts once again with an average viewership rating of 14.45 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics’ (TNmS) survey and 18.4 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll, both figures showing about a 0.3 percent gain from the past week. Starring Cha Seung-won, Kong Hyo-jin, Yoon Kye-sang and Yoo In-na, the story is about love between a top-class actor with a failing heart and a former idol star, struggling to make ends meet. SBS' romance action “City Hunter,” which came second on the same timeslot, also saw an improvement of about 1.5 percent from last week, having posted average viewership ratings of 13.1 percent on TNmS’ chart and 13.9 percent on AGB’s report.Starring Lee Min-ho and Park Min-young, the story about one man who comes to seek personal revenge against five corrupt politicians responsible for the death of his birth father, is based on Japanese cartoonist Tsukasa Hojo’s hit comic series of the same name. Meanwhile KBS’ “Romance Town” which tells a story of love between a conglomerate’s son and young maid who works for him, came last among its competitors, yielding average marks of 8.8 percent and 10.25 percent on TNmS and AGB’s chart, respectively.
