KARA’s 4th mini-album tops pre-order chart in Japan

KARA’s upcoming album has placed first on a major pre-order chart in Japan.Data by one of Japan’s biggest record retailers Tower Records showed that the girl group’s fourth mini-album “Go Go Summer!” (Limited edition A) topped its daily pre-order chart on June 2, the day it opened up for reservations. The new album, mainly composed of songs “Go Go Summer!” and “Girls Be Ambitious,” is to be released in three editions -- “Limited Edition A” composed of a CD and DVD with the DVD containing a music clip, a short dance version and behind-the-scenes clip of the title track, “Limited Edition B” made up of a CD and a photobook and “Limited Edition C,” a CD and bonus track “To Me” which is a Korean song, Songs “Go Go Summer!” and “Girls Be Ambitious” have been selected the songs for the commercials of products that the girl group endorses in Japan including the former for LG Electronics' Smartphone “Optimus bright L- 07C” and the latter for Japanese hair color brand “Palty.”The girls are set to to resume their activities in Japan in time with the release of the album which is set to hit stores on June 29. KARA, composed of members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market whose feat include becoming the first foreign female group in the Oricon's 43-year history to top the prestigious chart in the first week of releasing a single with their third Japanese single "JET COASTER LOVE" last April.The girls are currently busy preparing for an official fan meeting in Korea scheduled in downtown Seoul on June 11 which will include a mini-concert and disclosure of new video clips which will also be covered live in a total 83 theaters in Japan the same day.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
