Korean idol Seungri released his first solo album today, making him the third Big Bang member to pursue an official solo career. YG announced in a press release Thursday that Seungri's album, which he took part in composing, features a total of seven songs including the two title tracks "V.V.I.P" and "So What." "I prepared this album thinking I will give my all. I promise to show my best so that I won't embarrass my fellow members and our company," Seungri wrote on his official me2day account [Korea's version of Twitter] yesterday, expressing his thoughts on the release. He will start promoting the album by performing “V.V.I.P” and “So What” on Mnet's televised music program "M! CountDown" today. Seungri, whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, is the youngest member of the popular Korean boy band Big Bang. He tried his hand at going solo in 2008 with song "Strong Baby," included in the group's second full-length album "Remember." As a group, the boys will unveil their third studio release on February 24 and hold their annual "BIG SHOW" the following day.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
