The winner of SBS singing audition program is about to maker her debut under the guidance of Korea's talent agency JYP Entertainment.
Park Ji-min, a 15-year-old student whose life has changed after grabbing the top seed on the show, is to debut as a member of female duo 15& on October 5, the firm said in a press release Monday.
The officials explained that the other member is also the same age as Park, and she has been being trained over five years under the agency.
To commemorate the duo's entrance to the local music scene, the firm launched a special project yesterday that counts down 15 days to their debut date.
JYP officials will post a special event on the group's teaser website [15and.jype.com] every 3 p.m. KST and a total number of 15 winners will be given prizes.
Park was one of the formidable finalists on "KPOP STAR" alongside Baek A-yeon and Lee Ha-yi. With Baek, who just launched her singing activities with the debut album "I'm Baek" on September 10, Park entered the JYP and Lee later joined YG Entertainment, top K-pop groups 2NE1 and Big Bang's agency.
