Jang Keun-suk voted Taiwan's most searched male Korean star online

Jang Keun-suk has been proved to be the most-buzz-producing Hallyu star online during the first half of 2012 in Taiwan.

According to data released by Yahoo Taiwan, Jang has been chosen as the most searched Korean male celebrities so far this year on Taiwan's portal website Yahoo-Kimo.

This is yet another achievement for Jang to become a top-rated artist on the poll taken by Yahoo Taiwan.

In 2010, he won the Asia Buzz Award's top Asian star category based on data compiled by the website from South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The next year, he took home another trophy from the web portal by being voted as the top searched single Korean artist online.

Meanwhile, singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong followed right behind the "Love Rain" actor on this year's mid-year chart.

Sitting at No.3 and No. 4 are Park Yu-chun and Lee Min-ho, who are both active on TV this year, and "The Moon Embracing the Sun" actor Kim Su-hyun came next to round out the top five.

His agency YTree Media said in a press release this morning that the premiere of Jang’s drama “Love Rain” (KBS, 2012) on Taiwan’s GTV has been propelling the star's popularity to grow to new heights.

Aside from his acting career, Jang has also been focusing on his music activities by rolling out new albums as a member of Team H and promoting himself through his signature Asia tour "THE CRI SHOW 2."

He is set to hold the large-scale concert in Shanghai, China on August 11 and two runs in Taipei, Taiwan on September 1 and 2.
