Top Korean actor Park Hae-il has decided to star in a comedy pic alongside Song Sae-byeok.

On Tuesday, Park's manager told 10Asia over the phone that he confirmed his role in the film "King of the Weekend" (translated title) which will begin shooting sometime in June.

"King of Weekend," to be helmed by director Yim Pil-sung, will tell the story of what happens to three men in their thirties on a weekend where they all get drunk.

Park made his debut as an actor by joining the cast in a play in 2009. He soon rose to stardom through his famous gigs “Waikiki Brothers” (2001), “Scent of Love” (2003), “The Host” (2006), “Purpose of Love” (2005) and in film “Arrow The Ultimate Weapon.”

He is currently promoting his film "Eungyo" (in romanized Korean), adapted from writer Park Bum-shin's novel of the same name, set to open in theaters on April 26.
