Ivy inks contract with Polaris Entertainment

Songstress Ivy has signed an exclusive contract with Polaris Entertainment.

The firm has decided to manage Ivy’s career as a singer and actress after watching her talents throughout her past career, Polaris announced through a press release on Tuesday.

Starting fresh with the agency, Ivy is scheduled to release a new album later this month, which includes a number of songs she made herself during her long hiatus, the firm added.

Ivy, whose real name is Park Eun-hye, broke into the local music scene with the debut album "My Sweet and Free Day" in 2005.

While she rose to stardom after releasing her hit single "Sonata of Temptation" from the second album, she was quickly neglected by the public after fueled issues with her former boyfriend in 2007.

Walking an uneasy road to regaining popularity in the business, she made an ambitious comeback to the scene with the third album "I Be" in 2009.

Her new agency also manages the career of solo artist Kim Bum-soo and musical actress Sun Woo.
