The leader of seven-member girl group T-ara will be changed from Hyomin to Soyeon, according to a press release by their agency Core Contents Media on Wednesday.
"Soyeon will be the leader of the group while they promote their song 'Lovey-Dovey' starting January 1," Core Contents said of the tune which will be in their repackaged album.
The statement then explained, "Soyeon is the type with a strong sense of responsibility and the main vocalist of her team so she will now be leader."
This will make her the fourth leader of T-ara, after Eunjung, Boram and Hyomin, to take on the position which all members of the group have decided to rotate with each new album they release.
Also composed of members Jiyeon, Qri and Hyo-young, T-ara became popular with singles "Bo Peep Bo Peep" and "I Go Crazy Because Of You" following their debut in 2009.
