The latest song by Korean girl group SISTAR made its debut atop Gaon's singles chart for the third week of August.
"So Cool," the title track from the girls' first full-length album of the same name, was crowned the new winners on Gaon's singles chart, pushing former champions 2NE1 off the top spot.
Composed of members Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou and Dasom, SISTAR released their debut single "Push Push" in June last year and returned to the music scene last December with their single "How Dare You" which fared well on various online music charts.
Coming in at No. 2 was 2NE1's track "Ugly" from their second mini-album and boy band Super Junior's dance tune "Mr. Simple" climbed up four spots to third place.
Meanwhile, Super Junior's fifth full-length album "Mr. Simple" stayed in first place for the second consecutive week on Gaon's chart.
The second part of the soundtrack to MBC's TV series "Heartstrings" was the second most-popular album during the week of August 8 to 11 followed sequentially by seven-member boy band INFINITE's first regular album "OVER THE TOP."
