Andy Lau, Fan Bingbing cancels upcoming visit to Korea

Chinese actor Andy Lau and actress Fan Bingbing have canceled their upcoming visit to Korea, according to the film's promoter KJH&Company on Tuesday.

KJH announced in a press release that Andy Lau and Fan Bingbing, originally scheduled to visit Korea on August 11, have canceled their trip to meet with local media outlets and attend the red carpet event for their upcoming action pic "Shaolin."

The press release stated that the cancellation was due to the mistake which was made by the agency in charge of their promotional schedule in Hong Kong.

"Shaolin," helmed by director Benny Chan, tells the story of General Hou Jie (Lau), an evil warlord that is forced to rethink his ways after being betrayed by his protege Cao Man (Nicholas Tse).

The action epic, also starring Jackie Chan, Fan Bingbing and Wu Jing, will open in local theaters on August 25.
