FTIsland takes over music charts in Taiwan with "RETURN"

Korean rock band FTIsland continues to cause waves overseas, taking over the No. 1 spot on several music charts in Taiwan with their latest album.

On Friday, FNC Music announced in a press release that FTIsland's mini-album "RETURN," which went on sale in Taiwan on June 24, came in first place under the BEST SELLING COMBO ALBUM and BEST SELLING KPOP ALBUM chart during the final week of June.

The album also placed atop Taiwan's eZPeer+'s BEST SELLING KPOP ALBUM and BEST SELLING KPOP SINGLE chart as well as being crowned the winner on FETNet's BEST SELLING KPOP MOBILE RBT (ringtone).

"We were ecstatic to hear that we were No. 1 on several music charts in Taiwan," the members of FTIsland were quoted as saying.

"We want to thank all the fans for showing their love and support to us and we hope to return our gratitude through our music and upcoming concerts in the country."

The boys are currently on their concert tour in Japan titled "2011 SUMMER TOUR~Messenger~" which began in Nagoya in late June. They have performed in front of a full house in Osaka and Tokyo while they will take the stage in Fukuoka today and at the Budokan on July 29.

Composed of members Lee Hong-ki, Song Seung-hyun, Choi Min-han, Lee Jea-jin and Choi Jong-hoon, FTIsland saw the tickets for their upcoming concert in Korea "PLAY FTISLAND" sell out within 10 minutes of going on sale.
