Seven-member boy band INFINITE is ready to take on the Japanese music market next month, following a long line of Korean artists who have recently done so.

The boys, who last year signed with Japanese agency CCC, a subsidiary company of Japan's Tsutaya Records, will kick off their singing career in Japan with their showcase in Osaka and Tokyo on July 17 and 19, respectively, according to their agency Woollim Entertainment on Wednesday.

They were originally set to make their debut in the country in April but pushed back their activities due to the earthquake and tsunami that hit several cities and towns in Japan in March.

Instead, the boys released the ringtone version of their singles "TO-RA-WA (the boys' Korean song "Come Back Again" whose title was changed for the Japanese release)," "She's Back," "BTD (Before the Dawn)," "Nothing's Over" and "Hysterie" which placed atop Japan's music.jp's mobile music daily chart upon its release in April.

At the upcoming event, INFINITE will sing about 10 of their songs in Japanese, including the aforementioned tunes, an official from Woollim explained to 10Asia.

"The boys just finished recording an album which will feature the Japanese version of the songs though we are still in talks on its release date," the official added.

He then said that the members are putting a lot of effort into studying Japanese and that they will visit Japan several more times for performances and appearances on TV shows till August.

INFINITE -- composed of members Sung-kyu, Hoya, Woo-hyun, Dong-woo, Sung-yeol, Sung-jong and L -- have recently finished promoting their song "Can U Smile" and on June 9, celebrated their one-year anniversary since their debut.

The boys have been busy making appearances on various entertainment programs and will perform in Japan ahead of their debut in the country for the special broadcasting of KBS' "Music Bank" titled "K-POP FESTIVAL" on July 12.
