2NE1 triumphs on real-time charts with new song "Lonely"

Korean girl group 2NE1 has triumphed on various online real-time music charts with their new song, according to the respective websites today.

The girls' new release "Lonely," which was unveiled yesterday midnight along with its full-length music video, took the No. 1 spot on the online music charts of Cyworld, Daum, Naver, MelOn, Soribada, Mnet, Bugs, Dosirak and Monkey 3 today.

"Lonely," which incorporates guitar, bass and other sting instruments, is a slow pop tune that expresses the loneliness a person feels regarding love while being in a relationship.

Meanwhile, the girls are set to release their upcoming mini-album on June 23 that includes a total of six tracks, all of which they will promote, by revealing a new track every three weeks.

They started by unveiling member Park Bom's solo tune "DON'T CRY" which has taken over various music charts for several weeks since its release on April 21.

Composed of other members CL, Sandra and Minzy, 2NE1 has been one of the most successful groups in the country since their debut in May 2009.
