SuperstarK contestant Kang Sung-yoon’s “Instinctively” featuring Swings secured the top spot on Gaon's weekly singles chart during the week of October 16 to 23.
Kang Sung-yoon finished fourth on Superstar K, a music reality show in Korea which is the equivalent to the American Idol in the United States.
Pushed down to second place was last week’s winner “Irreversible” by Ga-in from Brown Eyed Girls who has newly begun her solo career.
Supreme Team's “Then Then Then” also went down a notch to land at No.3 but has remained in the top three of Gaon's weekly chart for the third consecutive week.
Meanwhile, three-member boy band JYJ swept this week’s Gaon album chart with their worldwide release “The Beginning” which debuted at No. 1 and followed immediately by the luxury package version of their album.
The special album “Group of 20: Let’s Go” featuring songs by various artists including members from 2PM, Girls’ Generation and KARA in celebration of Korea’s hosting of the G20 Financial Summit in Seoul took third place on the chart.
