FTIsland lands No.2 on weekly Oricon chart

Korean rock band FTIsland’s latest single has taken second place on the weekly Oricon chart. According to the official website of Oricon, FTIsland’s fourth Japanese single “SATISFACTION” released last Wednesday, debuted at No. 2 on Oricon's weekly singles chart as of May 2, after selling a total 34,163 copies.“SATISFACTION,” made up of four tracks including the title track of the same name, “Friends,” and “I want,” with the latter song featuring rap by member Song Seung-hyeon, had already ranked second on Oricon's daily chart last Tuesday, selling 17,665 copies on the day of its release. The song “SATISFACTION” is also currently featured as the ending theme song for Japanese animation "toriko," which went on air on Fuji TV starting early this month. In the meantime, the group will also release their first full-length album in Japan "FIVE TREASURE ISLAND" on May 18.They are also set to go on a nationwide tour in Japan this summer which will begin in Nagoya on June 29 all the way to Osaka on July 2, Tokyo on July 6, Fukuoka on July 8 and end at Nippon’s Budokan on July 29. Composed of other members Lee Hong-gi, Lee Jae-jin, Choi Min-hwan, Choi Jong-hoon, FTIsland, they debuted in Korea with the album "Cheerful Sensibility" in 2007 and expanded their career into Japan the following year with two single albums “Flower Rock” and “Brand-new days."
