KARA member Kang Ji-young and Choshinsung's Sungje will release a duet single in Japan next month. According to Japan's daily sports paper Sankei Sports on Tuesday, the duet titled "Merry Love” by Kang Ji-young and Sungje will go on sale in Japan on March 23, while the ringtone version of the song will be available starting tomorrow. "Merry Love," which was released in Korea in December, will be composed of a CD and music video featuring the two singers. Kang Ji-young made her debut in the five-member girl group KARA with their first album "Blooming" in 2007. The quintet expanded their career to Japan in August this year after signing with Universal Music Sigma, a branch of Universal Music group.The girls, currently active in both Korea and Japan are also busy shooting their Japanese drama "URAKAR." Sungje is part of the six-member boy band Choshinsung which is composed of other members Yunhak, Sungmo, Kwangsu Jihyuk and Geonil. After making their debut in Korea in October 2007 with the album "The Beautiful Stardust," they went on to release a mini-album in Korea plus two studio albums and seven singles in Japan.
