Frankie J to hold first concert in Korea next year

R&B singer Frankie J will hold his first-ever concert in Korea early next year. On Thursday, the concert promoter's Moonstone Korea announced in a press release that the 36-year-old singer will visit the country for his concert titled "2011 Frankie J Concert" to be held at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on January 22 of next year. The opening acts for Frankie J’s concert will feature Korean artists Woo Eun-mee, a contestant from SuperstarK 2 [Korea's version of U.S.' "American Idol], and upcoming boy band TOUCH.Born Francisco Javier Bautista, Jr., Frankie J, is a Mexican singer and former member of the musical group Kumbia Kings, which was formed by A.B. Quintanilla III, brother of the late Mexican songstress Selena. He later signed as a solo artist with Columbia Records and released his first album "What's A Man To Do" in 2003 followed by his first Spanish-language self-titled album. His single "Don't Wanna Try" peaked in the top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart. Tickets for Frankie J's concert are available at online reservation site Interpark (www.interpark.co.kr).
