Korean female idol group Girls’ Generation will release its new mini-album “Hoot” on Wednesday. Some of the top music composers in the country including Kenzie, Jinu and Hwang Hyun participated in creating the album featuring five tracks while Korean Singer Wheesung took part in writing the lyrics. The girls' title song “Hoot,” unveiled today prior to the album's release, is a light pop song based on guitar sounds which sings of a girl warning a boy who keeps breaking her heart. Its teaser video was released on Sunday midnight. Member Yuri took part in writing the lyrics for the track “It’s My Fault” which is the idol group’s first try at an authentic R&B song. Other numbers including love song “First Snowfall…” which is dedicated to young lovers who will greet their first winter together, “Best Friend” expresses the happy friendship between the members of the girl group and “Wake Up” that delivers a sad message of love. Meanwhile, the first live performance for the title song “Hoot” will be staged on KBS' "Music Bank" show this coming Friday. The group, which made a successful debut in Japan in August with song "Genie," is set to make headway into the country's chart once again with “Gee.”Reporter: Heidi Kim heidikim@Editor : Jessica Kim jesskim@<ⓒ10Asia All rights reserved>
