Korean rock band CNBLUE's frontman Jung Yong-hwa and actress Park Shin-hye will co-host a fan meeting in Japan to promote their series "Heartstrings," both their agencies confirmed on Wednesday.
Ahead of the show's premiere on Japan's Fuji TV beginning July 9, Jung and Park will be in the country to run two sets of meet-and-greets for "Heartstrings" at the Tokyo International Forum on July 16.
The two stars will screen several scenes from "Heartstrings," hold a question and answer session and other various events during the event.
"Heartstrings," helmed by producer Pyo Min-soo, tells the story of people in their twenties and thirties that attend a performing arts school.
Park played the role of Lee Kyu-won, who is studying Korean traditional music and an expert at playing Gayageum, a traditional Korean harp. He later falls in love with Lee Shin (Jung), the lead singer of a band named "The Stupid."
The pair's show created a buzz after it was pre-sold to eight countries including Japan, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines and North America.
The show, which co-stars CNBLUE member Kang Min-hyuk, Song Chang-eui and So E-hyun, brought in ratings between eight and nine percent during its two-month run on MBC between June and August in 2011.
