Korean actor Lee Min-ho's action series has been set to hit another channel in Japan later this month, according to his agency Starhaus Entertainment on Wednesday.

Starhaus announced in a statement that Lee's starrer "City Hunter" will air every Tuesday night on Fuji TV's cable channel, BS Fuji, starting May 29.

In February, the series first aired in the country on Fuji TV under the new title, "City Hunter in Seoul," and continued to gain more attention by airing on several other local channels the following month.

Lee plays Lee Yoon-sung who vows to get revenge for his father's death by starting his work at Korea's presidential Blue House with his doctorate from MIT.

Park plays Kim Nana (played by actress Park Min-young), a judo athlete-turned-bodyguard, who works at the presidential office to protect Choi Da-hye, the youngest daughter of the President.

The show is based on a Japanese manga series by Tsukasa Hojo, and famed producer Jin Hyuk of hit dramas "Brilliant Legacy" and scenarist Hwang Eun-kyung of "The President" joined to produce it into a TV series.

"City Hunter" aired in Korea for two months in May last year, and its distribution rights were also sold to several other countries including the United States, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.

"We are extremely grateful that the series has become such a big hit in the country. We're sorry to announce that Lee can't promote the show in the country due to his busy schedule for his upcoming series 'Faith,'" an official with Starhaus was quoted saying.

Lee has been confirmed to play the male lead, a general in the Royal Guards, in SBS' forthcoming series, opposite actress Kim Hee-seon.

The show is slated to hit the airwaves in August after So Ji-sub and Lee Yeong-hee's soon-to-air drama "Ghost" ends its run.

Lee shot to stardom with KBS' "Boys Over Flowers" in 1999, and has been one of the most popular Korean actors in Asia. He has since starred in other hits such as MBC's "Personal Taste" in 2010 and SBS' action series "City Hunter," the following year.
