Jason Mraz will perform at an outdoor music festival opening in Korea next month, the event's promoter VU Entertainment announced through a press release on Monday.
The Grammy Award-winning artist will join dozens of international artists to bring Korean music fans to their feet at the "Rainbow Island 2012-Music&Camp" in Nami Island, located at Northern part of South Korea, on June 9.
The officials noted in the statement that "Mraz found about the Rainbow festival and Nami Island through KT TUNSTALL, who was the headliner during last year's event."
They also added that "Mraz hoped that he could feel the beauty of the island himself and communicate with the audience in such a beautiful nature through the festival."
The annual festival's lineup also include Christina Perry, a singer-songwriter who also listed her track "A Thousand Year" on the soundtrack of Hollywood film "Breaking Dawn."
Mraz and Perri recently collaborated on song "Distance" and the VU officials said in the statement that the pair could stage a joint performance on stage during the two-day event.
Other Korean musicians including Hot Potato, BAND KANGSANEH, 015B, IDIOTAPE, THE KOXX and Standing Egg are announced to perform next month.
In the meantime, Mraz will launch his solo concert as a part of Hyundai Card's "Hyundai Card Culture Project," at BEXCO Convention Center in Busan, South Korea on June 8.
After wrapping up his performances in the country, he will take his show across regions between August and October, starting with Asia, and end his grand tour in Europe.
