Korean romance film "Introduction to Architecture" nabbed the No. 1 slot on the local box office charts over the weekend, according to the KOBIS (Korean Box Office Information System) on Monday.
KOBIS revealed that "Introduction to Architecture," starring Uhm Tae-woong, Han Ga-in, Bae Suzy and Lee Je-hoon, locked the top spot after attracting 565,331 moviegoers between March 23 and 25.
"Introduction to Architecture," which is the second feature by director Lee Yong-joo, tells the story of an architect named Sung-min (Uhm) who rebuilds his first love Seo-yeon's (Han) house in Jeju Island after she intentionally ask for his help in order to get back with Sung-min.
The film traces back to when both were freshmen in college, in which the younger versions are played by Bae and Lee. The two soulmates first meet in college at an architecture 101 course where Sung-min instantly falls in love with his first love.
However, but their love fail to seal the deal after events that made them misunderstand each other's true feelings.
French movie "The Intouchables," which opened on March 22, made its debut in second place with 393,907 tickets sold and the former front-runner "Helpless" slipped two spots down to third place with 324,712 admits.

Other movies on the top ten include "John Carter," "Chronicle," "This Means War," "GABI (Coffee)," "Contraband," "Space Dogs 3D" and "The Vow."
