Korean boy band U-Kiss has entered the top three spots of Oricon's music chart with their Japanese debut single.
On Thursday, Oricon's official website revealed that U-Kiss' single "Tick Tack" came in at No. 3 on its daily music chart after selling 17,207 editions upon its release on December 14.
An official with NH Media told 10Asia that the boys held a high-five event at Tower Records in Tokyo yesterday to commemorate the release of "Tick Tack."
He then explained that U-Kiss will be visiting a number of cities in the country till the end of the year to meet with their fans and are busy preparing for their nationwide tour in March of next year.
In June, U-Kiss signed an exclusive contract with major Japanese talenthouse AVEX to manage their singing careers in the country and released the licensed version of their fifth mini-album "Bran New KISS" in August.
They have also promoted themselves in the country with interviews with local media outlets as well as making several appearances on television shows.
U-Kiss (Ubiquitous Korean International Super Star) made their debut with single album "New Generation" in September 2008.
