Korean comedy "Spellbound" worked its magic this past weekend, claiming its first win on the local box office despite seeing a weaker debut in the start of the month.

On Monday, KOBIS (Korea Box Office Information System) showed that Son Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki's movie which opened at second place on the box office on December 1, attracted 590,232 moviegoers during the weekend of December 9 to 11 to hand it the top spot.
