YG Entertainment has unveiled details on girl group 2NE1's upcoming activities including the release of a new digital single next week.
The information came through their agency YG's official blog which stated that the girls' next single whose title can be translated into "The Hottest" and the music video for it will be released simultaneously on June 24.
Then their mini-album, containing the upcoming song and 2NE1's previous singles "Don't Cry," "Lonely," and up to three more songs, will hit stores on July 21, YG added.
YG also said that 2NE1 will promote "The Hottest" on televised music programs unlike "Don't Cry" and "Lonely" which they promoted mainly through YG's own Internet broadcaster "YG ON AIR."
In addition, YG revealed the date and location for the girls' first concert -- at Seoul's Olympic Park Olympic Hall on August 27 and 28 with tickets set to go on sale next month.
2NE1 will then head off to Japan for two months starting early September, making their official debut in the country and promoting themselves there.
The girls were originally set to make their debut in Japan in March but delayed their activities in the country due to the earthquake and tsunami that hit several of its cities and towns.
The quartet, composed of member Park Bom, Sandara Park, CL and Minzy, has been one of the most popular girl groups in the country since their debut in May 2009. They have a number of hit songs including “Try To Follow Me,” “I Don’t Care” and “Fire.”
