Korean rock band CNBLUE took this week’s trophy for music cable channel Mnet’s weekly music show on Thursday.
On “M! CountDown” aired live yesterday, the four-member band’s new song “Intuition” was named the winner of the week followed by Wheesung’s “Heartsore Story” and K.will’s “My Heart Beating” in second and third places, respectively.
The members of CNBLUE, upon having their group's name called, stammered while expressing their gratitude to fans, parents and agency in their acceptance speech.
“We’ll keep working hard and always remember the determination we were under when we first debuted,” added leader Jung Yong-hwa.
“Intuition,” which sings of the ominous intuition one has of breaking up with his lover, is the title track to CNBLUE’s first regular album “FIRST STEP” released last Monday.
The song which incorporates guitar sounds into a groove rhythm has also been ranked No. 1 on the latest music charts of Gaon and Mnet released this week.
Other singers that sizzled up the stage the same evening included M To M, ZE:A, 5dolls, U-Kiss, Song Jieun, INFINITE, CHICHI, Hangroo, Big Bang, G.NA, Wheesung, Girl’s Day, Lee Hyun, Kan Mi-youn and Maya.
