Boy band MBLAQ’s 3D album has been ranked No. 1 on a prestigious music chart in Taiwan, notified the group’s agency J. Tune Camp on Tuesday.
According to a press release by J. Tune Camp today, MBLAQ’s repackaged version of their first regular album “BLAQ Style 3D Edition” released in Taiwan on March 18, has taken the No.1 spot on the Korea-Japan weekly sales chart of Taiwan’s prestigious Gmusic chart for the week of March 18 to 24.
The statement explained that the victory is meaningful given that latest album is in Korean and MBLAQ has yet to launch significant activities in Taiwan.
“Thank you so much for your love and interest in our first regular album. We will repay you by continuing to improve ourselves more,” MBLAQ members were quoted as saying in the statement.
The five-member group which wrapped up their promotional activity for their latest album last weekend, plans to re-emerge with a new album around June.
MBLAQ whose title means "Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality" is composed of Cheong Dung, G.O., Seung-ho, Lee Joon and Mir who made their debut in 2009 with their single album "JUST BLAQ" and followed it up with their second single "Y" in May 2009.
They released their first album "BLAQ Style" featuring title track “Stay” on January 10 which has topped various online and offline music websites and its 3D edition which contains three additional songs including another title track “Again” on February 22.
