KBS “Smile Again” regains No.1 spot on TV chart

KBS daily drama “Smile Again” re-claimed its No.1 position on the weekly TV chart, after being pushed back to second place last time by the 2011 Asian cup match.

During the week of January 31 to February 6, “Smile Again” scored an average viewership rating of 29.1 percent on the charts of both Total National Multimedia National Research (TNmS) and AGB Nielsen Media Research (AGB), a considerable drop of about four five percent drop from its previous week, but still running first amongst other shows.

In the latest episodes, Gang-jae (played by Im Chae-moo) learns that Dong-hae (Ji Chang-wook) and Bong-i (Oh Ji-eun) have been secretly going out with each other and decides to consider permitting their relationship.

Gang-jae's wife, however decides to marry Dong-hae's single mother Anna (Do Ji-won) off to Bong-i's uncle Pil-jae (Kim Yoo-seok) who has been watching out for Anna for a long time.

Another KBS weekend drama, “My Love My Family” starring Song Jae-ho and Sunwoo Yong-myeo, about life and love within a large family, took second place, posting an average viewership rating of 22.2 percent on TNmS' poll while KBS’ variety show “Happy Sunday,” came in third with the viewership rating of 21.5 percent on the same survey.

In contrast, on AGB’s chart, “Happy Sunday” came in second with a viewership rating of 24.4 percent and “My Love My Family,” third with the rating of 23.3 percent.

Other programs that appeared on the top 10 chart of last week’s TV chart for TNmS and AGB were “KBS 9 o’clock News,” “Gag Concert,” “Flames of Desire,” “Infinite Challenge,” “Dream High,” film “WOOCHI,” and “Idol Star Athletics & Swimming Competition."
