K-pop idol Kang Min-hyuk of rock band CNBLUE will take on his second small screen role in an upcoming KBS weekend TV series, according to the show's promoter 3HW on Monday. 3HW announced in a press release that Kang will take on the role of Kim Nam-joo's younger brother named Cha Sae-kwang who is a womanizer in KBS' "You are an Unexpected Piece of Good Luck" (translated title) set to air on February 25 after current series "Ojakgyo Brothers" ends its run. "Cha is someone that has a bright personality and charisma and we felt that Kang fits that image," an official with the show said in the statement. "Luck," helmed by Kim Hyung-suk and written by Park Ji-eun, will tell the story of Hong Yoon-hee (played by Nam) who gets married to a doctor and finds herself in troublesome situations after moving in with her in-laws. Kang's first drama role was in MBC's "Heartstrings" alongside fellow bandmate Jung Yong-hwa and made his big screen debut through omnibus pic "Acoustic." As a member of CNBLUE, the boys recently released their second major Japanese single "Where you are" which made its debut at the No. 1 spot on Oricon's daily music chart. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
