Kim Min-hee cast as female lead in new thriller

Korean actress Kim Min-hee has been cast as the female lead in an upcoming thriller, according to her agency BH Entertainment. On Tuesday, BH announced in a press release that Kim will play the role of a fiancee in "Freight Car (tentative title)," the Korean adaptation of Japanese novelist Miyabe Miyuki's mystery novel "All She Was Worth," opposite Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun. "Freight Car," a mystery thriller helmed by Korean director Byun Young-joo, tells the story of a fiancee who suddenly disappears a few days before her wedding day while Lee will play the role of the guy who tries to figure out her whereabouts. "This movie will allow Kim to show a different side to who she is as an actress," an official from BH was quoted as saying. Kim made her small screen debut in season two of the teenage series "School" in 1999 and has since appeared in various dramas such as "Juliet's Man (SBS, 2000)," "Age of Innocence (SBS, 2000)" and "Love Marriage (KBS2, 2008)" and films "Hellcats (2008)" and "Actresses (2009)."
