SHINee tops preorder charts in Japan with 'Replay'

Preorders for SHINee's first Japanese single "Replay" has taken over music charts in Japan, according to their agency SM Entertainment on Friday. SM announced in a press release that preorders for "Replay," which became available on April 27, placed at the No. 1 spot on the daily preorder charts for major record retailer Tower Records and HMV, while the album is set to go on sale on June 22. Previously, "Replay" entered Japan's Recochoku daily mobile music chart on the day of its release in ringtone format on April 28. The boys, who have signed with EMI Music Japan (a subsidiary of British music company EMI Group Ltd), will perform at Abbey Road Studios in London, England on June 19 ahead of their debut in Japan, making them the first Asian singers to do so. They will also kick off their nationwide fan meeting tour in Japan titled "SHINee JAPAN DEBUT PREMIUM RECEPTION" in July with shows in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo. Composed of members Key, Minho, Jonghyun, Onew and Taemin, SHINee is one of Korea's most popular male groups who made their debut in 2008 under major talenthouse SM Entertainment.
