'Giant' scores highest ratings on Monday and Tuesday night

Most-watched TV show on Mondy and Tuesday nights "Giant" [SBS]

SBS' series "Giant" saw an increase in ratings this week, taking a strong lead against other shows on the Monday and Tuesday night lineup. Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday revealed that "Giant" drew in viewership ratings of 29 percent on October 18 and 28.4 percent the following night, indicating that ratings may soon breach the 30 percent mark. Data released by AGB Nielsen Media Research showed strong ratings as well, posting marks of 28.9 percent on Monday night and 28.5 percent on Tuesday. The Lee Beom-soo starrer also revealed a rise in ratings by an average 2.8 percent compared to the previous week. This week's episode focused on how Lee Mi-joo (Hwang Jung-eum) finds out that the model agency that she is working for is run by Cho Min-woo (Joo Sang-uk). She then realizes that their love will never work out because he is the son of the man who killed her parents. Following behind at No. 2 was KBS' "SungKyunKwan Scandal," starring Park Yuchun and Park Min-young, earning ratings in the 13 to 14 percent mark. The second season of "Queen of Housewives," which began its run this week, showed promise on the Monday and Tuesday night lineup, posting ratings in the eight to ten percent range.
