Nationwide Fine Dust Levels to Remain 'Good' to 'Moderate'
On Wednesday, the 4th, daytime temperatures are expected to be above average, with large differences between day and night temperatures continuing.
Morning lows will range from -3 to 4 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 9 and 14 degrees Celsius, remaining higher than usual for this time of year. In particular, central inland areas and inland areas of Gyeongsang Province will see temperature differences between day and night exceeding 15 degrees Celsius.
On the afternoon of February 20, when the daytime high temperature in Seoul rose to 13 degrees Celsius, citizens near Gwanghwamun in Jongno-gu, Seoul, were seen walking on the street holding their outerwear in their hands due to the warm weather. 2026.2.20 Photo by Yongjun Cho
Skies across the country will be mostly clear, but Gangwon Yeongdong and the Gyeongsang region will be mostly cloudy.
Until early dawn, 2 to 7 centimeters of snow is expected to accumulate in the mountainous areas of Gangwon, and around 1 centimeter of snow is forecast for the northern east coast of Gangwon.
From dawn to morning, some inland areas of Jeolla Province will experience dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters. In other regions, patchy fog is also expected, reducing visibility to less than 1 kilometer in some places.
Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels nationwide. However, due to the inflow of fine dust from overseas carried by northerly winds, the Seoul metropolitan area and South Chungcheong Province will see 'bad' levels at night, while Daejeon, Sejong, and North Chungcheong Province will experience 'bad' levels late at night.
Wave heights are forecast to be 1.5 to 5.0 meters in the East Sea offshore, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea offshore, and 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the South Sea offshore.
In the inner seas farther from the coast (about 200 kilometers from the shoreline), wave heights are expected to reach 2.0 to 5.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
