"Ointment Side Effect... Will Be Used for One Week"
As speculation about Donald Trump, President of the United States, having health issues spread due to a red spot on his neck, the White House dismissed the rumors, explaining that it was a "side effect of a topical skin ointment." However, they did not disclose the specific name of any medical condition.
On March 3 (local time), the Associated Press cited a White House statement reporting that the cause of President Trump's red spot was a skin ointment he was using. Previously, a distinct red mark was captured on the right side of President Trump's neck in photos taken at the White House Medal of Honor ceremony.

Sean Babavella, the President's physician, stated in a press release, "The President is applying a very common preventive topical skin treatment to the right side of his neck." He added, "The treatment will continue for a week, and the redness will persist for several weeks." However, he declined to answer follow-up questions regarding the type of cream, when the treatment began, or whether it was for preventive purposes.
This is not the first time the red spot on President Trump's neck has been visible. The same symptom was evident in a photo from the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) Board of Directors meeting on February 19.
In a physical examination report released in April last year, President Trump stated that he used 'mometasone' cream for skin conditions. Mometasone is applied to treat conditions such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and psoriasis.
This year, President Trump is seventy-nine years old, and due to his advanced age, persistent rumors about his health continue to circulate. In response, Dr. Babavella released the results of a cardiac and abdominal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan in October last year, stating that everything was "perfectly normal."
