The Pohang City Council (Chairman Kim Ilman) held a reception on the morning of March 3 in the chairman's office, welcoming the delegation from the International Council of Industrial Entrepreneurs (ICIE) who visited the council.
This visit by the ICIE delegation was held in conjunction with a business agreement involving Gyeongbuk Province, Pohang City, and Pohang Yeongil New Port Co., Ltd. (PICT), aimed at developing a Northeast Asian maritime logistics hub port.

On this day, the ICIE delegation discussed with council members the development of regular and irregular shipping routes between Yeongilman Port and Far Eastern Russian ports, as well as the establishment of an international logistics system linked to the Northern Sea Route. They also toured the council's main chamber and promotional facilities.
The ICIE delegation expressed their gratitude for the council's hospitality and stated, "We will actively cooperate in establishing Yeongilman Port as a hub port for the Northern Sea Route era."
Chairman Kim Ilman also said, "Thank you for your efforts towards making Yeongilman Port a Northeast Asian maritime logistics hub. The city council will also do its best to ensure that our region's port industry and Yeongilman Port can achieve greater international competitiveness and further development."
