and Building a Supportive Ecosystem for Youth Growth
The Pohang Youth Foundation announced that its 4th representative director, Sangjin Park, officially took office on March 3 and began his duties in earnest.
Following the resignation of former director Je-Min Choi, the foundation initiated an open recruitment process in January, conducted candidate evaluations through the Executive Recommendation Committee, and finalized the appointment of Sangjin Park as the new representative director after board approval.

The new representative director will lead the Pohang Youth Foundation for the next two years.
Sangjin Park began his public service career in 1993 and has held key positions such as Director of the Tourism Industry Division, Head of the Tourism Convention City Promotion Headquarters, and Chief of Nam-gu District Office.
He is regarded as an expert equipped not only with practical field experience but also with outstanding administrative leadership in municipal governance.
In his inaugural address, Director Park stated, "As the Pohang Youth Foundation marks its ninth year, I will do my utmost to help it become the central hub for youth activities and welfare and protection policies, reflecting the unique urban characteristics of Pohang and the diverse voices of its youth."
Jang Sanggil, Acting Mayor of Pohang and Chairman of the Pohang Youth Foundation, requested, "I hope the foundation will fulfill its pivotal role as a leading institution for youth activities and policy, enabling the young people who will lead Pohang’s future to pursue their dreams and grow up healthy."
