Comprehensive Coverage for All Stages of Disease and Injury Treatment
Industry-Leading Number of Covered Injury Treatment Items
Exclusive Rider for Daily Hospitalization with Surgery for Circulatory System Diseases
Hana Insurance announced on the 3rd that it has been implementing revisions since the 1st of this month to strengthen coverage for major health insurance products and introduce new riders.
This revision was prepared to address potential coverage gaps that may arise due to the upcoming changes in the 5th generation indemnity health insurance system, which is scheduled to be implemented next month, and to provide practical, treatment-focused coverage.
The revised products include the non-participating "Hana the First The Health (Simple) Insurance," "Hana the First 5N5 Health Insurance," and "Hana the First 3N5 Simple Health Insurance."
Through this revision, a new "Integrated Treatment Benefit" rider has been added, which covers the entire process of disease and injury treatment as a single benefit. The "Integrated Disease Treatment Benefit" provides coverage for 15 disease treatment processes, including surgery, treatment, critical care, and hospitalization, under a single rider. The "Integrated Injury Treatment Benefit" covers 33 items, including examination, surgery, treatment and procedures, critical care, and rehabilitation, offering one of the industry's widest coverage ranges.
Additionally, the company has introduced the industry's only "Daily Hospitalization Benefit for Circulatory System Disease with Surgery" rider, which provides coverage for up to 180 days during hospitalization at general hospitals. This rider is designed to alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses for heart and vascular diseases by supporting post-surgical inpatient care.
The integrated treatment benefit rider provides fixed-sum coverage for the entire treatment process, including surgery, treatment, hospitalization, and rehabilitation. This is intended to address potential coverage gaps resulting from the expansion of non-reimbursable coverage limits due to changes in the indemnity insurance system. In particular, it can be structured as a non-renewable policy, allowing customers to prepare for stable coverage without concerns about premium increases.
A Hana Insurance official stated, "This revision has been designed to enable customers to receive stable coverage throughout the treatment process in response to changes in indemnity insurance," and added, "We will continue to provide competitive health insurance products tailored to customers' coverage needs."
