The police have additionally charged a woman in her 30s who crashed her Porsche under the banister of Banpo Bridge in Seoul while driving under the influence of drugs, with causing injury by dangerous driving under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.

The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced on March 3 that, during the three-day March 1st holiday, it had added the charge of causing injury by dangerous driving under the aforementioned act to the list of charges against a woman in her 30s, identified as Ms. A, who is already under investigation for violating the Narcotics Control Act and for driving under the influence of drugs in violation of the Road Traffic Act.
According to police, Ms. A is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs on February 25 at around 8:44 p.m. on Banpo Bridge. At the time, she was driving a Porsche and fell onto the riverside near Jamsu Bridge along the Han River, sustaining bruises. Her vehicle collided with four other cars, including a Mercedes-Benz driven by a man in his 40s. The Mercedes-Benz driver suffered minor injuries.
During the on-site investigation, police recovered several empty vials of propofol and disposable syringes containing drugs both inside and around Ms. A’s vehicle. Police are also investigating an accomplice who turned themselves in on the evening of March 2, admitting to providing drugs to Ms. A.
The Yongsan Police Station applied for an arrest warrant for Ms. A on February 26. On February 27, the Seoul Western District Court issued the warrant, stating there was concern over destruction of evidence and risk of flight.
