The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will recruit 393 new local government officials this year, who will be responsible for leading future education in Gyeonggi Province.
On March 3, the Office announced that it will select a total of 393 people, including 22 candidates (Grade 8) for the 1st Career Competitive Recruitment Examination announced in February, 357 candidates (Grade 9) for the 2nd Open Competitive Recruitment Examination, 4 candidates (Grade 9) for the 3rd Recruitment Exam for Outstanding Talent from Commercial High Schools, and 10 candidates (Grade 9) for the 4th Career Competitive Recruitment Examination for Technical High Schools.
The 2nd Open Competitive Recruitment Examination will select, by job category: ▲ 277 in Educational Administration (239 general, 30 persons with disabilities, 8 low-income), ▲ 31 in Information Technology, ▲ 16 in Industry (5 General Machinery, 11 General Electricity), ▲ 3 in Health, ▲ 11 in Food Sanitation, ▲ 18 in Facilities (Architecture), and ▲ 1 in Records Research (Researcher).
Applications will be accepted from April 13 to 17, and the written test will be held on June 20. This year, a new personality test will be introduced and administered for those who pass the written exam, and the results will be used as reference material for the interview process to select talent to lead the future of education in Gyeonggi Province. The final list of successful candidates will be announced on September 15.
The 3rd Recruitment Exam for Outstanding Talent from Commercial High Schools will select four probationary staff members from graduating (or soon-to-graduate) students who have completed the relevant specialized courses and required subjects at commercial high schools (including general high schools with the relevant departments). Successful candidates will be appointed as Grade 9 Educational Administration officials after a six-month probationary period and subsequent evaluation and review next year.
Applications will be accepted from July 27 to 31, but applicants must first receive a recommendation from their school principal between July 13 and 17 before submitting their applications. The written test will be held on August 29, and the results will be announced on December 22.
The 4th Career Competitive Recruitment Examination for Technical High Schools will select 10 candidates from graduating (or soon-to-graduate) students at technical high schools in the province, including 5 in Industry (1 General Machinery, 4 General Electricity) and 5 in Facilities (Architecture).
Applications will be accepted from August 24 to 28, but applicants must first receive a recommendation from their school principal between June 29 and July 3 before submitting their applications.
The written test will be held on October 31, and the results will be announced on December 22.
In particular, for the Career Competitive Recruitment Examination for Technical High Schools, a new application requirement has been introduced, stipulating that the ratio of completed units in relevant specialized subjects must be at least 50% of the total specialized course units for the intended job category, so applicants should take note.
Applications must be submitted online through the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education's "NAIS" online recruitment system (edurecruit.go.kr) within the specified periods for each exam.
