Hwacheon County submitted the first supplementary budget proposal for this year to the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts during the 295th temporary session of the Hwacheon County Council, which will be held for three days starting March 4.
With the addition of the first supplementary budget, Hwacheon County's total budget for this year stands at 504.646778 billion won, an increase of 23.355591 billion won compared to the original budget.
Among the key allocations, 6.2 billion won has been earmarked for the "Childcare-Friendly Village Project" to create an environment where both children and parents can live with peace of mind.
Additionally, 6 billion won has been allocated to the "Sachang-ri Newlywed Couples’ Public Rental Housing Project" to support housing stability for newlyweds and young adults.
Other expanded budget items include 2.5 billion won for the "Hwacheon-Style Education Campus Project," which centers on establishing all-day care service facilities in Sanae-myeon, and 1.5 billion won for the "Sancheoneo Village Urban Regeneration New Deal Project."
Meanwhile, beyond the first supplementary budget, Hwacheon County is also steadily implementing policies that residents can directly feel, such as nationwide park golf tournaments, strengthening sports marketing, and providing entrance congratulatory grants for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Choi Moonsun, Mayor of Hwacheon County, emphasized, "The 8th popularly elected Hwacheon County administration is doing its utmost to keep the promises made to our residents."
