Enhancing Customer Experience with Galaxy XR Devices
On March 3, Hyundai Livart announced that it will become the first in the furniture industry to introduce a consultation service utilizing extended reality (XR) devices, in order to enhance its customer services.
Hyundai Livart is launching the official operation of its immersive virtual space consultation service, the "XR Design Studio." The "XR Design Studio" is a service that provides a proprietary customer consultation program developed in-house, installed on Samsung Electronics' extended reality (XR) headset, the "Galaxy XR."
The company explained that this is the first time in the domestic furniture industry that XR devices have been incorporated into consultations. A Hyundai Livart representative said, "Most customers have difficulty envisioning whether new furniture will harmonize with existing interiors or how much space will be secured, which often leads to inconvenience during the purchasing process or when arranging products after delivery. The 'XR Design Studio' service was planned specifically to address these minor customer inconveniences."

The "XR Design Studio" consultation begins when staff retrieve a 3D floor plan of the apartment that the customer wishes to decorate from the Livart database and display it on a consultation PC monitor in-store. The Livart furniture or Livart home interior products that the customer intends to purchase are then arranged on this floor plan. Next, when the customer puts on the XR device, a virtual space generated from the previously created floor plan appears in their field of vision. By using the controllers or turning their head, customers can preview how the furniture will look from various angles, as if they were actually walking through the space.
In addition to the service that uses customers’ own floor plans, Hyundai Livart has also incorporated six virtual model homes into the "XR Design Studio." Through this, the company anticipates achieving an exhibition effect equivalent to adding a showroom of approximately 500 square meters (about 150 pyeong) in size.
The "XR Design Studio" service will first be available at two locations: Livart Total Gangnam in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and Livart Total The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Hyundai Livart plans to expand the number of stores offering this service to 10 within the year.
A Hyundai Livart representative stated, "We will continue to introduce differentiated services and content unique to Hyundai Livart to further solidify our position as a total interior company that creates new value for everything related to the home."
