The Gyeonggi Province Northern Autonomous Police Committee is holding an open recruitment for the "2026 Gyeonggi Northern Autonomous Police Youth Supporters" from March 2 to March 20, aiming to increase young people's interest in the autonomous police system and to engage them in field-oriented policing activities.

The committee plans to recruit up to 50 participants. Eligible applicants include individuals or teams of up to four members, who are between 19 and 39 years old and either reside in the northern Gyeonggi region or are currently enrolled (including those on leave of absence) at a university located in the area. Those with experience in producing and managing social media content will be given preference.
The selected supporters will participate in various activities from April to December, such as producing promotional content for the autonomous police, conducting online publicity campaigns, experiencing field work at police substations and patrol stations, and proposing public safety ideas. Notably, this year, a mentor-mentee program will be introduced, connecting supporters with newly appointed police officers for on-site accompaniment. Additionally, annual field activity schedules will be established in advance to provide systematic support for their activities.
Participants will receive a certificate of appointment and commemorative gifts, while outstanding contributors will be awarded commendations from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province or the committee. Volunteer hours for field activities will also be officially recognized.
According to Lee Sangro, Chairperson of the Gyeonggi Province Northern Autonomous Police Committee, "The participation and ideas of young people are a vital driving force for the development of the autonomous police system. We look forward to the enthusiastic interest and active participation of many young people."
